As a result of successfully piloting the administration of the comprehensive examination in two separate parts during the past few semesters, the RPLS Department subsequently agreed to alter REC 683’s course description to accurately reflect that 2-part process, and to provide a clearer explanation of the purpose and structure of the course. The description also now clarifies that students have up to three chances to pass the exam (i.e., “This course may be retaken up to three times.”) These pieces of information are key for students to understand as they enroll in the course.
