HLH 493 is required only for BS CHEA majors.  Adding the two courses (HLH 380 and HLH 394) as pre-requisites does not add additional required credits to the major, it only adds some sequencing to the already required courses.  All of the pre-requisite courses are offered every semester.  HLH 493 is generally taken in  the last semester before a student completes field placement.  First year students would easily be able to complete this sequencing.  Second or third year internal or external  transfers would be able to complete the 9 credits of pre-requisites in just one semester, or across two or semsters if they choose to do so.
